A language. A conlang. MY conlang.
I created WeiKu because I was bored and thought that creating a language would be fun. I know, making a language is weird. But just a reminder that you are on the page of the country I created. So yeah, it'a a weird situation.
Words are formed by CV(V) structured syllables and words are formed of any number of syllables between 1 and 3. All consonants are capitalized.
Ex:
Mua - you
CVV
Sentences usually follow a SVO pattern. Any verb modifier goes before the verb with a ta particle in between. For time modifiers, the ta is omitted and only use to emphasize.
Ex:
Mua GaeSe BeiPa GaKei. - You were beautiful
.S....Mv....V....Adj
To state that something may happen, simple write the word TieSe before the subject.
To create a if-then sentence two sentences are needed. The first sentence starts with the conditional particle TieSe, followed by the first sentence ending in the particle ta. This particle is followed by a comma and then the second sentence.
Ex:
TieSe Fe GaeSe BauMe Re Bau. - Maybe he/she ate my food.
TieSe Fe GaeSe BauMe Re Bau Ta, Re Kase BiePa GauKeiMai Dukei Fe.
- If he/she ate my food, I will be rude towards him/her.
To specify the time in which something happens, the verb is conjugated by adding one or more verb modifiers (Mv) in front of the verb. Multiple Mvs can be added together to specify a relative moment of time. Example: I will have seen Jake - Re Kase GaeSe JeaRa Jake. This would be directly translated as I future past see Jake.
TIME | EXAMPLE |
None | I do it |
Past-past | I had done it |
Past-present | I was doing it |
Past | I did it |
Past-future-small | I hadn’t done it yet, now I have |
Past-future-big | I hadn’t done it yet, I will soon |
Present-past | I just did it |
Present | I am doing it |
Present-future | I am about to do it |
Future-past | I will have done it |
Future | I will do it |
Future-present | I will be doing it |
Future-future | I will be planning on doing it |
Ta can be used in many ways. Its most common purpose is to specify more information as a substitution for the following sentence.
For example:
“I like the taste of apples. = I like ta. The taste of apples”.
This is an important word because WeiKu requires simplistic sentence. Also, compiling makes things complicated, in this case, you can imagine ta as a parenthesis to indicate what you are talking about.
